Roles and Responsibilities: Service Desk

As part of the Off-Campus Drive, Service Desk associates will handle the following responsibilities:

1. Client Support:
   • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support via phone, chat, or email.
   • Provide IT support to global clients on a 24/7 basis.
2. Technical Expertise:
   • Configure and troubleshoot desktop hardware and accessories.
   • Perform hardware diagnostics, setup, and software installation or troubleshooting.
   • Work with Windows operating systems.
3. Teamwork and Communication:
   • Collaborate efficiently using chat platforms like Microsoft Teams or Skype.
   • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and team members.
4. Customer Service:
   • Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
   • Exhibit strong communication skills and multitasking abilities.
5. Issue Management:
   • Create and maintain documentation and tickets in real-time.
   • Troubleshoot remotely using diagnostic methods and relevant queries.
   • Follow SOPs and KBs to determine solutions.
   • Escalate unresolved issues to higher support levels.
6. Client Guidance and Feedback:
   • Assist clients through step-by-step issue resolution.
   • Provide accurate information about IT services or products.
   • Monitor and update customer records and statuses.
   • Forward feedback or suggestions to the appropriate teams.
7. Process Improvement:
   • Identify and recommend improvements to KB articles and operational procedures.

This role requires technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction.
